Problem
The Sage Intelligence Reporting module is not showing in the Sage system tree.
Solution #1
Check if the user that is experiencing the problem has the rights to access the Sage Intelligence Reporting (SIR) module.
- Login to Sage Evolution with an Administrator account
- Check if the Sage Intelligence Reporting (SIR) module is showing on the system tree of the Administrator user. If this is the case, go to step 3. If this is not the case, go the Solution #2 or Solution #3
- When the SIR module is available for the Administrator, then the user experiencing the problem probably has not got the permissions to access this module. You can add these permissions via the Sage Evolution Administration Module. (Link to How-to-article for adding rights/creating agent groups)
- After settings the user rights, check whether the SIR module is showing by logging into Sage Evolution again with the account of the user. In case the module is not showing directly, you might want to refresh the System Tree and log off and log on again.
Solution #2
Check if the shared "EvoBICMetaData" folder is accessible from the client machine.
- Login to Sage Evolution with an Administrator account to get the location of the BIC folder
- Navigate to the Sage Evolution Administration module.
- Click on the node System Wizard
- Click on the tab "Repository"
- Copy the folder location that's entered by "Repository Folder"
- Navigate to this folder location in the Windows Explorer. In case this folder is accessible, go to Solution #1 or Solution #3. When the folder is not accessible, move to step 3.
- You have determined that the BIC folder is not accessible.
- Check if the folder's location is correct. The folder is usually located on the database server, so log in to the database server and navigate to the path. Is it accessible? Move to step 3b. Is it not accessible? Check what the correct location is on the server. Usually the folder is located on the C:\ drive and is called something like "EvoBICMetaData" or BIC
- If the folder is accessible when you are logged on to the server, but it is not accessible from a client machine, then the sharing settings of this folder are probably not set up correct. Contact your system administrator for the setup of this folder.
Solution #3
Check if the Sage Intelligence Reporting module is correctly installed onto the machine.
- Navigate to the installation folder of Sage Evotution. This is usually located on C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage Evolution
- Check if the "BIC" folder is added to this located. In case this one is missing, the SIR module is not installed on the machine. Contact your administrator to get an installation of the SIR module.
