This article describes how to locate a database.


Required information

A) Windows Authentication

B) SQL Authentication

Copy table below into email and fill it out:

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open Evolution
  2. Click on Locate
  3. In the screen to follow, enter your server name, your authentication method and your database name
    1. Authentication method: Windows authentication (no more info needed)
    2. Authentication method: SQL authentication (Enter your SQL User Name and SQL Password here)
    3.  or: 
    4. And click on "Next"
  4. Usually, leave settings as they are ("Use Common database on the same server"), and click on "Finish"

  5. DONE!
